GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THE COMPETITION
What are the dimensions of each space?
Each competitor space is 45′ by 25′.
Is power and water available for each space?
Yes. Water is available at every site as well as 30 amps of power. Bring generators if you need more juice. Teams must provide their own extension cords, lights, hoses, hose splitters, tables, etc.
Will there be security?
Yes. We have security scheduled 24/7 as well as a police presence at the event.
Where is the competition being held?
The Great Virginia Pigout BBQ competition will be held at the Richmond International Raceway, 600 E Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23222.
How much does it cost to compete?
Entry for a single day is $275.00 and for both days the fee is $500.00.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes, the refund policy is as follows: 100% refund prior to June 1st, a 50 % refund prior to July 1st, no refund after Aug. 1st.
What is the total payout for placeholders?
$25,000 in prizes is available for competitors who place in the competition.
Are there bathrooms on the premises?
Yes, there’s are bathrooms available. For an additional fee, you can have a porto-john placed directly on your cook/camp site.
Are event t-shirts included? If not, how much do they cost?
One Great Virginia Pigout t-shirt is issues per team, but you can purchase more. The cost is $20.00 per shirt. Multiple sizes are available so please indicate what’s needed on the registration form.
What forms of payment do you accept to register for the competition?
Currently, we only accept Paypal as a way to pay for entry. Payment processing is built into the registration form so you can’t submit registration without paying first.
